Find Your People
Recommended by Sarah Goldstein
Find Your People is full of practical ways and ideas on how to build your community. We know we need community to enjoy and live life well, but sometimes it can feel daunting to create or participate in our busy lives. I personally found this to be a beautiful reminder that the Christan life is done best with others alongside of you.
Driven by Eternity
Recommended by Melody Howard
Driven by Eternity by John Bevere has been incredibly impactful and thought-provoking for me. He reminds us as James does that this life is a vapor and that we should live in light of eternity. I’ve found myself thinking/examining my thoughts, heart motives, and even the words I speak….convicting. John uses a lot of scripture throughout and reminds believers we will give an account of our lives at the judgment seat of Christ. The book begins with an allegory that further grieves my heart for the lost and deceived. The book serves as a reminder of the importance of keeping an eternal perspective and as Scripture tells us “set our hearts on the things above and not on earthly things.”
PS. There is also a sermon on YouTube called “Driven by Eternity” (less detailed but still very good)
